24/7 Diva Heaven

Anyone who thinks 24/7 Diva Heaven make music that only works in a live setting was proven wrong by the Berlin band’s session for Pop-Kultur last year. Afterwards, even our stable server had to calm down with a stiff drink and rub some cream on the pogoing bruises. The trio may have nothing left to prove, but they’ve still got something to show: namely, their debut album released by Noisolution in March. Thanks to earworm choruses, widescreen riffs, fuzzy noise, cowbell and an airtight rhythm section, »Stress« offers eleven kicks in the ass suitable for any occasion. 24/7 Diva Heaven combine punk with grunge aesthetics, riot grrrl attitude with plenty of humor, and while their sound might remind you of the nineties, they’re at least half a decade ahead of their time. And don’t worry: this time, they’ll be taking their audience along for the ride.
