For quite some time, it wasn’t clear when Eunique would return with new music. But she was definitely not sitting idle: since the release of her album »Vision« was first postponed and ultimately cancelled in the spring of 2020, the rapper had to clear a few more obstacles. But if there’s one thing she can do, it’s to roll up her sleeves and knuckle down. »Ich komme für dich, stellst du dich zwischen mich und meinen Traum / Je größer ich werde, je größer die Herde, je wilder die Frauen / Bin bald auf dem Level, hab’ dreizehn Kartelle, geleitet von Frauen« (»I’m coming for you, get between me and my dream / The bigger I get, the bigger the herd, the wilder the women / Soon I’ll be at the next level, got thirteen cartels, run by women«), as she puts it on »CUT,« her brilliant comeback single. It’s more than a lyrical confrontation – it’s also a self-assured musical statement. Expect to hear more like this, as Eunique has been in and out of the studio. And when she appears at Pop-Kultur, it’ll be for the first time after a long absence – so we can expect to see something on stage, too.
