»Kollektive Arbeitsweisen in Kulturarbeit & Musikproduktion« (De)

Elisabeth Steffen, Florian Meyer, Hajo Toppius (Host), Matthias Einhoff

The principle of collectivity plays an important role in cultural and work, and likewise in music itself – and this in completely different forms, varieties and variants. Based on the artistic research work of SelbstgebauteMusik with their cardboard instrument and book project »Zur Transformation des Alternativen« (»On the Transformation of the Alternative«) and following a ten to fifteen-minute lecture on the topic, this talk will gather SelbstgebauteMusik member Hajo Toppius, Elisabeth Steffen (://about blank), SEXES member Florian Meyer and the artist and Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (ZK/U) co-director Matthias Einhoff to discuss the different ways in which collectivity plays a role in cultural work, drawing parallels to music along the way. The prevailing question will be as to why so many urban political initiatives come from the music and art sector.
