»RIVERS«

The commissioned work for Pop-Kultur »RIVERS« by theatre-maker Mazlum Nergiz is both a concert and radio play at the same time: a singer and an actress meet on stage, united in a stream of stories that tell of the search for arrival in constant flux. At the centre of this work is a nameless narrator who invites us on a tour de force through themes of sexuality, shame and straying. After destroying the architecture on which he has built his life, he dives further and further into worlds that reveal anonymous encounters and loneliness – as well as the power of losing yourself. Without leaving the Maschinenhaus, he travels through places that get fucked, looked at and examined – ruins, abandoned buildings and clubs. »RIVERS« is an invitation to let yourself drift.
