That was Pop-Kultur 2021 – Check out our Photo Gallery

Coming together and being with each other also means being there for each other – putting solidarity into practice, even if only with a conspiratorial smile from umbrella to umbrella at the pavilion stage or, in better weather, from one sunlounger to another at the screen in the courtyard, through which everyone outside could also participate in the action inside the Kesselhaus.

Pandemic and raindrops: neither of these things could stop the roughly 6,000 people over four festival days, three of which were completely sold out, from experiencing over 120 programme slots with us. Difficult to keep track of it all, even for us. But we can offer a visual recap, thanks to our brilliant photo reporters.

DAY 1: 25.08.2021

DAY 2: 26.08.2021

DAY 3: 27.08.2021

DAY 4: 28.08.2021

Up close and personal in a different way, despite the physical distance – that was Pop-Kultur 2021. A comprehensive experiment that passed by like a colourful dream. And we are immensely happy that you were there, in the real world inside and outside, as well as online, where this year’s digital works and select concerts in the Kesselhaus recorded by ALEX Berlin, along with the talks of this seventh edition of the festival recorded on site, will continue to be permanently available for viewing.

That’s also a nice way to bide the time until the next edition of Pop-Kultur. We suggest you mark the period from the 24th to the 26th of August, 2022, in your calendar using your brightest colours.
