All diese Gewalt

All diese Gewalt (All this Violence) is the solo project of Max, singer of Die Nerven. His third LP »Andere« (»Others«) was released in autumn 2020: a claustrophobic, multi-part meditation on loneliness. Among its contributors was Albertine Sarges, who also appears at Pop-Kultur this year, and for Rieger’s commissioned work, he has a much bigger focus on togetherness: »Andere« gets reworked in collaboration with further additional musicians; solipsism gives way to solidarity. In two group performances in the Kesselhaus, the audience and the band will be separated with stage-sized sheet of cloth, offering the performers more intimacy with each other, while the audience is given a veiled impression of what happens when the individual merges into the collective – and togetherness overtakes loneliness.
