»Argumentepanzer«

Claudia Basrawi & Ted Gaier

Ted Gaier has never been satisfied with simple answers, always preferring to ask difficult questions. His recent collection »Argumentepanzer,« published by Verbrecher Verlag, may be all over the map, yet it maintains a critical stance through and through, dealing with conflicts of gentrification in Hamburg, Romania’s outsider status, a tour of the USA with his band Die Goldenen Zitronen – and lots, lots more. As Gaier’s essays, interviews and quips pose just the right questions, he’s not done with the discussion, and he’ll keep it going at Pop-Kulur – namely, with Claudia Basrawi. The author, translator and actress has collaborated with Gaier on several occasions, including the plays such as »Der Sumpf – Europa Stunde Null« and »FLOW/WASSER.« Most recently, she worked on the wide-ranging performance project »Beirut – Meeting The Saints.« Basrawi and Gaier will cover a wide range of topics in the interview, as well. Just don’t expect simple answers to difficult questions.
