Anyone familiar with Manu Louis’s music knows that he’s got no great loyalty to genre. On his debut single »Tchouang Tseu« in 2015, the Belgian-born Manu Louis combined brittle electroclash with funk and chanson, leading up to »Kermess Machine,« an even more divergent album: an electro-acoustic ballad here, some longing bar jazz there, and in between, a few synth-pop gems.
